Margaret Dorn is an award-winning singer, composer, arranger and producer whose work encompasses the recording industry, commercials, film and television, theater, touring, industrials, night clubs and the concert stage. As a versatile vocalist and musician she covers a broad range of styles and vocal ranges and is an excellent sight reader. She has sung with many artists including Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Lionel Ritchie, Jennifer Lopez, Donald Fagen, Boz Scaggs, kd lang, Carly Simon, Michael McDonald, Willie Nelson, Michael Feinstein, Barry Manilow, Jessica Simpson, Koko Lee, Diana Ross, Taylor Dane, Melissa Manchester, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Spector, Lesley Gore, Roseanne Cash and The Chieftains. Most recently she toured the US and Australia with Bette Midler. Margaret has worked with great producers (Phil Ramone, Arif Mardin, Ric Wake, Ted Templeman, Steve Tyrell) not only as a singer but also as a vocal coach, arranger and vocal producer.

A highly respected vocal arranger and contractor, Margaret’s work includes pop, rock, country, jazz, r & b, gospel, theatrical, classical and some styles that can’t be defined! She has written for many shows: Afrika Plumbridge (award winning  musical presented at New York’s International Fringe Festival), Dance With Me (a revue of the music of John and Johanna Hall), several shows for cabaret great Steve Ross  (including I Love New York at Rainbow and Stars at Radio City). She has also arranged for Celine Dion, Lionel Ritchie, Maria Christianson and the incredible inspirational group The Jenny Burton Experience (of which Margaret was a member and choir captain). Her songs have been recorded by Karen Carpenter, Hiromi Ota, Melba Moore and The Sweet Inspirations.

Recently Margaret has written the score for a new musical, Faraway Bayou with lyricist Janie Barnett. She’s always writing and arranging for her elegantly eclectic a cappella group The Accidentals. They have won numerous awards in New York and California including a national a cappella championship. Songs from their CDs have been featured in major film and TV shows. Margaret has produced 4 Accidentals CDs, 2 solo CDs of her songs in Europe and a double CD of Accidental Marcia Pelletiere’s poems set to music by 26 composers of all genres (Vernon Reid, Richard Barone, Terre Roche, Joy Askew, Janie Barnett, Emily Bindiger, Marcia and Margaret). The CD received rave reviews and international airplay.
